Ngā mihi nui
My deep thanks for an outstanding Aotearoa NZ Anaesthesia ASM 2024.
Reflecting on this year’s Aotearoa NZ Anaesthesia ASM, I think back to the vision we had as an organising committee.
We wanted to create an experience that you as a delegate would remember and take home, be it academic learning, reflection on your practice, inspiration for growth, or taking on new challenges.
Organising a national-level meeting has been a one-of-a-kind experience. But I once again go back to the theme of our meeting, Working Together. I’ve been fortunate enough to have many unsung heroes within our organising committee – the busy bees who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
Our session chairs and speakers from across Aotearoa were so very generous with their time and expertise.
To our industry colleagues and sponsors, I hope you had a good time. Please keep coming back, these meetings aren’t possible without you.
I’d like to thank the parent bodies, NZSA, ANZCA and NZATS, and the professional conference organising team Jo, Jill, Fiona, Annie and Sheryl from Outshine. Thank you for trusting our vision and supporting our team to make it all happen.
Last but not least, I personally would like to thank each and every delegate for joining our meeting and being part of such an engaging, active, and keen audience. Without your participation, this meeting would not have been possible. It was lovely to have met every one of you and I’m sure we will bump into each other again in the future.
After all, as one door closes, another one opens.
Ngā mihi nui,
Dr Karen Hye-Won Park
